Prophet John Anokye, founder of World Wide Ministries – The Hill City Church, has celebrated marked the beginning of its 10th anniversary of his ministry, reflecting on its journey and future aspirations.
Speaking at a press launch on Monday, February 9, 2026, Prophet Anokye shared the inspiration behind establishing the church. He revealed that he first received a divine message in 2008, five years before formally launching the ministry, which was initially named after him.
“I received the word of the Lord before the start of the ministry, somewhere in 2008. At the time, I was using my own name as The John Anokye Ministry,” he said.
He added that during a 40-day fast, he received further guidance, including the ministry’s current name: World Wide Ministries – The Hill City Church.
“I received it, coded it down, and prayed about it. Being a pastor’s son and having lived in the mission house, I understood what God was communicating to me,” Prophet Anokye explained.
Reflecting on the growth of the ministry, Prophet Anokye revealed that he began with just 21 members, with aspirations to grow to 700 and beyond. Looking ahead, he shared ambitious plans for the next decade, including leveraging technology to reach a global audience.
“In the next 10 years, the next platform will be AI-powered to the whole world. The great commission is that we will publish the word of God to the ends of the earth,” he emphasized.
