Lawyer for Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has served notice that his client will be challenging the defamation judgment brought against him in the matter of Abdul Malik Kweku Baako vs Ken Agyapong at the Appeals Court.
The High Court in Accra gave the Assin Central MP 30 days to apologise three times on all platforms he used to defame Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako.
The judgment followed the failure by the MP to prove his allegations that Mr. Baako and his protege, Anas Aremeyaw Anas of Tiger Eye P.I, are engaged in illegal mining popularly known as ‘galamsey’ and are fraudsters.
Lawyer Ralph Agyapong commenting on the ruling on Net 2 Television served notice that his client will challenge the ruling.
He further cautioned Mr Baako to stop maligning his client.
