Ghanaian Afropop songstress, Wendy Shay, has revealed that she will organize a virtual concert dubbed ‘Survival Concert’ in support of the needy and underprivileged in society.
The ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker explained that most people and corporate institutions have donated to hospitals in this difficult era of COVID-19, however, the poor and vulnerable are her priority.
“This show is not the normal virtual concert that you watch for free. Everyone is expected to pay a sum of GH¢5.00 to participate and all proceeds from the show shall be used to support those in need”, she said.
‘Survival Concert’ is being organized in collaboration with management of Ruff Town Records and Kri8 Concept to raise funds for the less privileged. The concert is set to come off on Friday, July 31, 2020 on a virtual platform.
Funds raised from the concert would be donated to beneficiaries such as street children, orphanages and widows among other less privileged groups in society.
Interested participants can make payments through mobile money, Master Card or Visa Card to watch live by subscribing via www.kri8.tv/wendyshay come July 31.
She also apologised to listeners of Angel 102.9FM for being late for a scheduled interview with Ohemeaa Woyeje.
Though she said she was unwell, she emphasized that “she has not contracted COVID -19.”
