Award winning Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay has said that she does not agree with the Gaming Commission and the Food and Drugs Authority’s (FDA) decision to bar celebrities from adverting for betting companies.
According to her, she cannot comprehend why the same state institutions which banned celebrities from advertising alcohol has also banned them from advertising for betting companies.
The songstress called on other celebrities in the industry to come together and fight for their right.
She posted this on her Twitter:
“Ghana celebrities’ can we put our difference aside and fight the system? I guess we don’t know how powerful we are, well am taking the FDA and Gaming Commission to the Ghanaians and they deserve better.”
