The Ghana Premier League trio, Dormaa Aduana Stars, Dreams FC and Bechem United have booked their tickets into the semi-finals of the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup following their triumph in their respective quarter final ties.
The games were played on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at separates venues.
At the Dawu Stadium, Dreams FC defeated lower tier side Kotoku Royals 2-1, thanks to Agyenim Boateng and Adamu Amadu’s goals before Joe Boateng pulled one back to reduce the deficit for the Royals.
Elsewhere, Dormaa-based Ghana Premier League outfit, Aduana Stars humbled a stubborn King Faisal side by 3-2 at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park at Dormaa Ahenkro.
Sam Adams, Abdul Manaf Mudasiru and Emmanuel Gyamfi all scored for the Ogya boys whilst Zubairu Ibrahim and Ibrahim Osman were also on the scoresheets to claim consolation for their side.
Bechem United, who were in a good shape, eliminated Division One League campaigners Tamale City with a brace from Augustine Okrah and one each from Hafiz Konkoni and Latif Anabila to record four past their opponent.
However, Kingsley Braye and Bismark Asare got two goals in the 57th and 84th minutes for the Tamale-based club but it was not enough as the game ended 4-2 in favour of the hunters at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park
As a result, Dreams FC, Aduana Stars and Bechem United have all progressed to the semi-finals of this season’s MTN FA Cup.
Dormaa Aduana Stars now faces Bechem United in the semi-finals in an all Regional derby encounter for a place in the final.
Meanwhile, Dreams FC faces defending champions, Accra Hearts of Oak who recorded a 1-0 slim win over Skyy FC on Thursday afternoon thanks to a Patrick Razak second half strike.
