Ghanaian Rapper and songwriter Derrick Sarko Kantanka, popularly known as Amerado, has declared his intention to marry after releasing his much anticipated album titled ‘God Is Never Asleep(GINA)’.
The rapper made this known via a post on his social media pages on Tuesday October 25, 2022.
The revelation has seen many reactions on various social media with many of his followers congratulating the rapper in advance. Others have also been wondering who the bride-to-be is since the rapper has not really been seen flaunting any lady as either his girlfriend or fiancée.
The album, according to Amerado, has seen the introduction of a new genre called Afrorap. The rapper stated that ”I am confident that the launch of the African rap sub genre known as Afrorap can perform enormously well on the international market. Afrorap, like Afrobeats and Afrodance, is simply rap combined with Afro”, he announced.
Two tracks from the album, ‘Back to sender and Grace’, released a few weeks ago, have received over 10 million streams across all digital streaming services.
The album features musicians in Ghana and across our borders including S1mba(UK) Efya( Ghana), Fameye( Ghana), Eno barony ( Ghana), Gidochi( Ghana), and Epixode ( Ghana).
According to Amerado, the album spearheads a new genre called Afrorap.
