The Black Meteors of Ghana have been paired with the Democratic Republic of Congo in the final round of the TotalEnergies CAF U-23 Championship qualifiers following their triumph over their Mozambique counterparts.
Their pair with the DR. Congo comes after they beat Mozambique 4-1 aggregate to advance to the last stage of the qualifiers.
Ghana recorded a 2-0 victory in the second leg played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, October 30, following the 2-1 win recorded in Maputo during the first leg.
Goals from Sylvester Simba and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh in both halves was enough to book their tickets to the next round of the qualifiers with a 4-1 aggregate victory.
The final round of the qualifiers is expected to kick start in March 2023 where Ghana will travel to Congo for the first leg before hosting the DR. in the return fixture.
