Speaking in an interview on, Ashakan acknowledged Daddy Lumba’s unmatched influence on Ghana’s music scene but stressed that he should be celebrated as the greatest of his generation, not of all time.
“Daddy Lumba was a great musician, and his death is a big blow to the Ghanaian music industry. But he is not the greatest Ghanaian musician of all time. In music, there is always someone who becomes the greatest of that generation. The fact is, he is the greatest of his generation,” he uttered.
He added that the Ghanaian music industry has always produced generational talents, and each era come.
“Let’s not forget Dada K.D he also contributed into music, all those we have lost also contributed. So let’s focus and make Ghana music excel,” he added
