Nigerian music promoter, Big Jiggy has publicly expressed his disappointment in Ghanaian dancehall star, Shatta Wale, claiming he was disrespected and embarrassed during his recent visit to Ghana for the ShattaFest.
In an emotional statement shared online on Sunday, October 19,2025, Big Jiggy said he had always admired Shatta Wale for his authenticity and powerful lyrics, but was left heartbroken by how he was treated.
“Shatta Wale, I love you so much I expected so much from you as you claimed to be the king you portray to be so real from your lyrics ‘what I tell you say I go do am ago do am so real.’ I’m like damn this man is real, he’s a real G. Sadly for me to see that I am not even sorry to say that Shatta Wale didn’t act like what he sings in his music. Shatta Wale invited me to Ghana… a whole Shatta Wale invited Big Jiggy to Ghana after a whole awaited time Shatta Wale and his management invited me to disgrace me. I felt disgraced, I felt they don’t regard me because all my support I’ve showed. I know what I did for Shatta Movement, I know how many armies I recruit. When you go to Nigeria, every single person listens to Shatta Wale today because of Big Jiggy,” he said.
He further added that his trip to Ghana was disappointing, especially after being invited personally by Shatta Wale.
“So I was booked in Ghana for two days by the Don, by Shatta Wale. It’s crazy, even the whole time I’ve been coming to Ghana with my money I’ve not stayed here for two days,” he added.
According to Big Jiggy, the experience left him feeling unappreciated, despite his efforts in promoting Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement across Nigeria.
