The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, have been involved in a crash on the Bolgatanga-Tumu road.
According to reports, the accident occurred while their convoy was en route to official engagements marking the 40th Anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education in the Upper West Region.
In a statement from the Education Ministry confirmed the incident and further indicated that victims are in stable conditions.
It added that “all members of the convoy are currently in stable condition and receiving the necessary attention.”
The statement further indicated that all other members of the convoy are safe and undergoing the necessary medical care.
The Ministry expressed appreciation to emergency responders, health professionals, and members of the public for their swift assistance and concern.
