Ghana’s First Lady, Her Excellency Lordina Dramani Mahama, is in Washington, D.C., to attend the “Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit” which brings together first spouses from across the world.
The two-day summit, convened by First Lady Melania Trump, is focused to discuss strategies for a more secure and equitable digital future for children.
Mrs. Mahama’s participation in the summit is at the invitation of the First Lady of the United States.
Mrs. Mahama, in a commitment statement ahead of the summit, stated that “Ghana stands ready to ensure technology becomes a force for empowerment, not endangerment, for every child.”
“Our children’s future is our shared moral duty and generational responsibility,” the First Lady said in a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson to the President.
