Ghanaian rapper Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal, has credited fellow musician and AMG boss Criss Waddle for playing a major role in shaping his career and elevating his profile in the music industry.
In a recent interview, Medikal described Criss Waddle as a “godfather” who opened doors for him, provided mentorship, and gave him the exposure he needed to succeed.
“He’s a godfather. He put me on in the industry. He did verses for me and made sure people paid attention to Medikal,” the rapper revealed.
Medikal also acknowledged the financial impact of the support he received, saying his current success is directly tied to the opportunities given to him early in his career.
“Of course, I’m earning a lot from my music now. That’s because he put me on,” he said.
Reflecting on the importance of visibility and connections in the industry, Medikal added, “Sometimes it’s not just who you know, it’s who knows you. I was privileged to meet someone like Criss Waddle, and he helped me make my mark in the music scene.”
