President John Dramani Mahama has announced the formation of the Constitutional Review Implementation Committee (CRIC).
Speaking at a Presidential Dialogue with the Civil Society Organizations (CSO) on Monday, March 30, 2026, he stated that the committee will oversee the next steps towards constitutional review.
”Government is currently examining the recommendations of the constitutional review committee.
”And very soon we will announce the formation of the constitutional review implementation committee (CRIC) to oversee the next steps towards Constitutional review,” he said.
He highlighted that the implementation of the agreed changes will begin when Parliament assembles follworing constitutional and legislative procedures.
President John Mahama emphasized that the process mirrors the government’s commitment to enhance democratic governance and ensure constitutional order.
”This process reflects our commitment to deepening democratic governance, strengthening checks and balances and ensuring that our constitutional order continue to respond to the evolving aspirations of the Ghanaian people,” he iterated.
