The National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASPAWAP) has announced an upward adjustment in the price of sachet water, effective Monday, April 6, 2026.
In a statement issued on Thursday, April 2, 2026, the association attributed the price increase to a global shortage of polymers and rising production costs, partly driven by the ongoing conflict in Iran.
According to NASPAWAP, the surge in costs has made it increasingly difficult for producers to maintain existing prices.
The new recommended price structure includes;
Ex-factory: GH¢8 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)
Ex-truck: GH¢10 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)
Maximum retail price: GH¢15 per bag (30 sachets of 500ml)
The association urged both retailers and consumers to comply with the new pricing to promote fair trade practices.
“This adjustment is necessary to sustain production and ensure the continuous supply of safe drinking water,” the statement added.
