Six suspects have been arrested in connection to the possession of Narcotic drugs at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
In a statement released by the Ashanti Regional Police Command, it noted that, on March 25, 2026 the patrol team from Offinso District intercepted a blue-
black Toyota Voxy vehicle with registration number AS 1747-25 at the outskirts of Offinso Old Town, near the Offin River.

The suspects comprised of Albert Nkrumah alias Abode3 (21), Francis Owusu alias Skin (25), Gyimah Emmanuel alias Corruption (24), Theophilus Amoabeng and Kwadwo Amoabeng.
All suspects were arrested on the March 26, according to the statement.

According to the Police, the occupants of the vehicle, upon noticing the presence of the Police, fled the scene and escaped into a nearby bush.
The patrol team pursued the suspects but was unable to apprehend them at that time.
The exhibit vehicle and all retrieved items were subsequently conveyed to the Offinso Police Station for further investigation.
The Police revealed that a search conducted on the vehicle revealed some items.

”Three hundred and fifty (350) compressed slabs of substances suspected to be narcotic drugs (Indian hemp), concealed in four white sacks,Two Ghana Cards (names withheld), Three driver’s licences: (names withheld), One voter’s ID card (name withheld), DVLA Vehicle Registration certificate (name withheld), One iPhone, Cash GH¢120,” it stated.

The statement disclosed that, on March 26, the Police secured a court order from Offinso circuit court, presiding over by her honour Christiana O. Bruce Ashirifie directing the National Identification Authority (NLA), Electoral commission (EC) and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to provide relevant details to assist the ongoing investigations.

Subsequently, on March 30, suspects Albert Nkrumah and Francis Owusu were arraigned before the Offinso circuit court and have been remanded into Police custody to reappear on April 7.
