The General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Lawyer Prosper Harrison Addo has debunked recent reports that the country’s football governing body has gone bankrupt.

Reports were rife in the media that the Ghana FA is in dire financial situation due a load of debt inherited by the Kurt Okrakus administration

But speaking to Saddick Adams on Angel FM on Tuesday night Harrison Addo emphasised that people should not believe that the Ghana Football Association is bankrupt.

“Ghana Football Association is not bankrupt as people have been made to believe,” he said.

Responding to whether the GFA recently bought new cars for their day to day activities, the Lawyer was quick to clear the air that the GFA only cleared already ordered cars rather than buying new ones.

“GFA hasn’t bought new cars but what we rather did was to clear the cars which had already been ordered,” he said.

Lawyer Prosper Harisson Addo also revealed that the love and the passion he has for football and the victory of Kurt Okraku were the major reasons he applied for the position of the General Secretary.

“Passion for football played a major role in my application for general secretary position and I may not have applied if Kurt didn’t win the election”.
