The Queenmother of Bosome traditional area, Nana Krobewaa Acquah, has advised the youth to desist from being used by politicians to perpetuate violence ahead of the December general elections.
“It is so sad to see the youth fighting on the streets for someone they do not even know,” the Queenmother said on Angel FM’s morning show, ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’, on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
She said that the youth usually feel like they owe the politicians they are fighting for hence, they do not think about the consequences of their actions when engage in political violence, especially at political rallies.
Nana Adwoa Pokua believes that these political disturbances by the youth occur because, they are ignorant of what they are doing.
She, therefore, called for the youth to be educated on the need for peace during the ongoing voter registration exercise and coming elections.
She stated that as a people, we have only one nation, Ghana, therefore the need to guard it jealously from being destroyed.
“One feels a sense of relief when they return home from a journey abroad therefore, let’s use love to build our nation,” she reiterated.
