The Osudoku Traditional Council has dissociated itself from the activities of the secessionist group, Western Togoland.
Paramount Chief of Osudoku who doubles as president of the traditional council, Aadegbor Ngmgmowuyaa Kwesi Animle VI, in a release on Monday, September 5, 2020 said the chiefs, elders and the entire citizenry of Osudoku detested the act acts of vandalism perpetuated by the group.
“It became expedient to come out to disassociate myself and the traditional council completely from this diabolic agenda. I also unequivocally condemn the move.
“Let me emphasize that the Osudoku Traditional area has been and will continue to be part of Ghana forever,” he said.
He added that the activities of the secessionist group, ‘Homeland Study Group Foundation’ is becoming worrying as it’s a threat to the peace of the people living in the area and Ghana entirely.
“Let me emphasize once again that Osudoku can never support this exercise which threatens the peace and security of this peaceful area and Ghana as a whole.
“I also wish to warn all the Chiefs and people of the Osudoku Traditional Area especially the youth, that nobody should get him/herself involved in this unacceptable venture and that anybody who does so does that at his or her own risk. I hereby urge the security Agencies to do their work.” the traditional ruler cautioned.

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE OSUDOKU MATSE (PARAMOUNT CHIEF) AND PRESIDENT OF THE OSUDOKU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL AADEGBOR NGMGMOWUYAA KWESI ANIMLE VI ON MONDAY, 5TH OCTOBER, 2020 TO DISSASSOCIATE HIMSELF AND THE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL FROM THE WESTERN TOGOLAND SESSIONS
This Press Statement has become necessary and appropriate because information reaching me indicated that one of our Chiefs, Nene Tawiah Agblom II, the Head of the Doris Clan/Division involved himself in the activities of the Western Togoland secession.
Considering his position and relationship with me, it became expedient to come out to disassociate myself and the Traditional Council completely from this diabolic agenda. I also unequivocally condemn the move.
Let me emphasize that the Osudoku Traditional area has been and will continue to be part of Ghana forever.
I also wish to warn all the Chiefs and people of the Osudoku Traditional Area especially the youth, that nobody should get him/herself involved in this unacceptable venture and that anybody who does so does that at his or her own risk. I hereby urge the security Agencies to do their work.
Let me emphasize once again that Osudoku can never support this exercise which threatens the peace and security of this peaceful area and Ghana as a whole.
Permit me to also use this opportunity to comments briefly on some publications in the mass media on Yongwasi lands.
It is worthy to state emphatically that all the allegations made in the publications are false. I would have proved this with documentary evidence at this forum but for the fact that the very persons making all these unfounded allegations have sued the Traditional Council at Tema High Court.
It is questionable that people who claim to have a genuine case and have sent the matter to Court of competent jurisdiction would not wait for the outcome of the Court case but have rather chosen to prosecute their case in the domain of the Press. By the end of the case, the ulterior motives behind their agenda will be definitely exposed.
Once the issues are currently pending before the appropriate Institutions, I will wait for them to perform their functions to the justifiable conclusion.
Signed
AADEGBOR NGMOGMOWUYAA KWESI ANIMLE VI(OSUDOKU MATSE/PARAMOUNT CHIEF AND PRESIDENT, OSUDOKU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL).
