At least six soldiers sustained varied degrees of injuries when an armored military vehicle they were traveling in was involved in an accident on Thursday morning in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital.
The accident involving the armored vehicle commonly referred to as MOWAG and another police car was said to be part of the President’s convoy heading to the Bolgatanga Regional House of chiefs on the Bolgatanga- Navrongo highway.
Reports that reached Angelonline.com.gh indicate that the injured soldiers had been transferred to the Bolgatanga Government Hospital for treatment.
The President is currently in the Upper East Region for a regional tour.
