Hon. Isaac Asiamah’s replacement at the Ministry of Youth and Sports is a sad end- Kofi Asare Brako

Special aide to the former Sports Minister, Kofi Asare Brako has expressed his disappointment at the replacement of Hon. Isaac Asiamah after 4 years at the ministry.

Hon Asiamah took over fromĀ  Nii Lante Vanderpauye after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the 2016 election to New Patriotic Party.

The Member of Parliament of the Atwima Mponua constituency was appointed to head the Youth and Sports Ministry on Thursday, 12th January, 2017.

Speaking with Angel FM 102 on the FloodLight sports the renowned sports commentator told Saddick Adams that, “For the first time in Ghana’s history, no Sports Minister under auspices has built 10 Multi Purpose Sports Complex across the country and for that deserved reappointed in order to finish his work. The 10 Multi Purpose Sports Complex built is 95% completed and he should have been maintained to commissioned them before he could been replaced”.

He further opined that , Hon. Asiamah has achieved a lot as , this is the first time in 20 years a Sports Minister has spent 4 years in office.

“It a sad end to the beginning and Ghana will miss Hon. Asiamah”, he reiterated.

Asiamah has been replaced by Mustapha Yusif as the Youth and Sports Minister designate.
