Ghana will qualify for 2022 World Cup – Minister

Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Evans Opoku Bobie, is highly optimistic the Black Stars will qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Qatar.

In an interview on the stars’ chances of qualifying on Thursday morning, on Angel FM’s Anↄpa Bↄfoↄ morning show, Evans Opoku Bobie, stated that he is confident the senior national team will qualify for the soccer mundial.

“We will give Ghanaians the encouragement but CK’s chapter is already closed and we have four matches to play so let us focused. Kofi, am emphasizing that we will qualify. Kofi, by the grace of God, we will qualify because I have to be optimistic.

“Every player who forms part of the Black Stars wants the team to qualify. So am saying it with the highest hope that Ghana Black Stars will qualify for Qatar 2022,” the Deputy Minister told host, Kofi Adoma.

He again called on Ghanaians to be hopeful that the Stars will qualify for the tournament for the fourth time.

To him, the Stars possess what it takes to qualify for the biggest football festival.

Mr. Evans Opoku who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North District in the Ahafo Region believes this dream will become a reality and hence urged Ghanaians to be hopeful.

Ghana currently sits second in Group G with three points after two matches in the ongoing Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualify.
