The Ministry for Youth and Sports has debunked allegations made in some media publications that it has agreed to pay an amount worth $45,000 as monthly salary for Black Stars new head coach Milovan Rajevac.
According to the Ministry in a statement issued on September 23, 2021, the publications are “untrue and of no basis”, hence the call for the general public to disregard the publications and treat them with the contempt they deserve.
They noted further that even though the Ministry is aware of the process of hiring a new coach for the senior national team, GFA has not officially communicated the process to it.
The Ministry therefore noted that it will keep the general public updated on the development when a decision is taken on who is to become the Star’s new coach.
Below is the full statement by the Ministry:
Meanwhile, in other developments, the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Evans Opoku Bobie has affirmed to Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Angel FM’s Anopa Bↄfoↄ morning show that they have not approved Milovan Rajevac as head of the senior national team.
