The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Kwame Baffour Abronye, has debunked assertions that Sarah Adwoa Safo was impersonated on November 30, 2021 in the house of parliament.

According to him, the widely circulated face on social media which people believe is an imposter is actually the natural face of the Dome Kwabenya MP without any make-up.

The NPP communicator insisted that he knows Sarah Adwoa Safo well and the public assumption that she was impersonated is false.

The Dome legislature became the talk of town after the minority caucus in parliament alleged that she was impersonated to give the majority side the needed numbers for quorum to approve the controversial 2022 Agyenkwa budget.

Sarah Adwoa Safo has been missing from parliamentary proceedings for some time now due to president Akufo-Addo’s extension of her leave.

However, speaking on the Anopa Bofoↄ breakfast show on Angel FM, Kwame Baffour Abronye, stated that Sarah Adwoa Safo was in a haste to join parliamentary proceedings and therefore didn’t get enough time to put on her usual make-up.

He suggested that most women who are used to wearing make-up tend to look different without it hence the difference in her facial appearance and the legislator is no exception.

He added that impersonation is a crime frown upon by the laws of Ghana and everywhere else in the world.

Meanwhile North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, has stated that they are reviewing some pictures and videos  since it is possible that the lady purported to be Adwoa Safo is likely to be an imposter.

But Sarah Adwoa Safo insisted on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 that “Mr. Speaker, I was present in this house yesterday [Tuesday],”
