The Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu, believes his side are still focused to reach the peak they deserve despite their defeat in their week 14 fixture in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The phobians were beaten 1-0 by Karela United on Saturday afternoon after conceding late at the Camp Park in Nzema.
The defending Champions currently trail arch rivals Asante Kotoko by seven points difference.
Asante Kotoko host Medeama SC at the Baba Yara sports stadium Sunday afternoon and a win for the home side will mean the points gap between them and Hearts would be extended to 10 points.
But Hearts Coach Boadu believes his boys “are still on course trying to push hard to reach the level we need to take Hearts of Oak to.”
He admitted lack of concentration led to their defeat at the Camp park.
The rainbow club currently sit 7th on the league table with 20 points with a game in hand against bitter rivals Asante Kotoko who have garnered 27 points.
They host King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium in their next fixture of the week 15 games.
