Four-time best song writer of the year, Kofi Kinaata has been adjudged the Artiste of the Year at the just ended Ghana Music Awards USA.
The Takoradi-born artiste emerged winner after beating off competitors such as Black Sherif, Kidi, Kuame Eugene, Diana Hamilton among others.
The 2022 edition of the Ghana Music Awards USA came off on Saturday, August 20 at the Lincoln Theatre in Columbus, Ohio at the United States of America.
The ‘Second Sermon’ hitmaker, Black Sherif who lost Artiste of the Year title to Kinaata was crowned the Hip-hop/Highlife Artiste of the Year.
He also took home the New Artiste of the Year award.
Meanwhile Diana Hamilton and Akwaboah won Female Vocalist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year respectively.
The Rap Doctor, Okyeame Kwame’s ‘Yeeko’ which featured Kuami Eugene was adjudged the most popular song of the year.
While Epixode won Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Lynx signees Kuami Eugene and ‘golden boy’ Kidi walked away with the Sound Engineer/Producer of the Year and Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year award respectively.
