Black Star’s new entrants, Inaki Williams and Tariq Lamptey, are among other players to have arrived at the team’s camp ahead of their pre-World cup friendly matches against Brazil and Nicaragua.
The two arrived in camp Monday, September 19, 2022, and were spotted in a picture alongside Gideon Mensah, Joseph Aidoo, and Baba Iddrisu.
Lamptey and Williams committed to Ghana in June and are expected to make their senior national team debuts.
Other players who have also arrived in camp are captain, Andre Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Jojo Wolacott, Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Teye Partey, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, and Stephen Ambrosios.
The rest are Denis Odoi, Gideon Mensah, Baba Rahman, Alexander Djiku, Elisha Owusu, Alidu Asiedu, Issahaku Fatawu, Suleman Kamaldeen, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Ransford Yeboah, Joseph Aidoo,
Meanwhile, Mohammed Salisu, Daniel Amartey Felix Afenya-Gyan, and Richard Ofori are expected to join their colleagues by the close of the day to get a full house.
According to a communication from the Ghana Football Association, the team will hold its first training later this evening as preparations gets underway for the match against the five-time World Champions in Le Harve on Friday.
The match is scheduled for Friday, September 23, 2022, at the Stade Oceane – Le Havre at 8:00 pm.
Four days later they will take on Nicaragua in Spain at the Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Lorca, Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Ghana will in November play another pre-world cup friendly against Switzerland before the start of their World Cup campaign.
The games form part of Ghana’s preparations for the upcoming 2022 World Cup scheduled to be hosted in Qatar.
The Black Stars will face South Korea, Portugal, and Uruguay in Group H.
