Ghanaian musician Francine Koffie known as Fantana has challenged that the seat of Jomoro Constituency in parliament cannot be taken away from the Member of Parliament who doubles as her mother.
She made the statement whiles celebrating her mother, Madam Dorcas Affo-Toffey the MP for Jomoro after she won the election petition filed against her eligibility over her alleged Ivorian citizenship.
This comes after the Sekondi Court on Monday, November 21, 2022, dismissed the petition challenging the eligibility of the embattled MP.
According to the court, as far as Madam Dorcas Affo-Toffey has acquired a Ghanaian passport as a matter of course, she ceases to be an Ivorian citizen and gains a Ghanaian nationality.
The dismissal concludes Madam Dorcas Affo-Toffey as legible to continue to hold her position as MP for the people of Jomoro.
Fantana in a post on her snapchat to celebrate her mother’s success described her as a true leader who will continue to reign.
“My queen won her case!!! A TRUE LEADER. You will continue to remain the MP for Jomoro for as long as you want, and no one can take your seat away from you! You’ve worked so hard” she said.
