The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that application for media accreditation for the Black Stars’ upcoming 2023 AFCON tie with their Angola counterpart is officially open.
The 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled to be the 34th edition of the biennial African international association football tournament organized by CAF will be hosted by Cote D’lvoire in January 2024.
The stars will play host to the Palancas Negras of Angola, on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before the reverse fixture in Luanda on March 27.
Ahead of the game, the GFA in a statement said, media practitioners who intend to cover the aforementioned match are to submit their applications duly signed by their heads to the National Sports Authority.
It thus asked them to send their applications via pr@sportsauthority.gov.gh., the email account for the Head of Public Relations, of the NSA.
“Applicants should kindly attach a copy of a passport photograph to the letter. Deadline for submission of applications is Monday, 20th March 2023,” it directed as announced.
Meanwhile, slots for the application, the GFA said, should contain at least three persons each from a Television (TV), two each from the electronic media (radio) and one each from the print media (Online/ Newspaper).
According to the GFA, accreditation tags can be picked up on said match day March 23 at the match venue between the hours of 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Nonetheless, the footballing association warned that applications without passport photographs will not be considered.
