A political analyst, Boakye Yiadom has predicted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be elected the 2024 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by delegates of the party at the party’s conference at November 4, 2023.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Tuesday, the political analyst assigned the Vice President’s personality, humility and interpersonal relationship as part of the reasons delegates would readily want to elect him flagbearer of the party.
He added that incumbency advantage would also inure to the benefit of the man who is seeking to take over from his Boss as the next President of Ghana.
“That threat and intimidation from the powers that be to delegates can also be an advantage and at the same time a disadvantage,” he stated.
Mr Yiadom further called on the Vice President and his Campaign team to take advantage of the negative press his main contender, Kennedy Agyapong is receiving and maximise his votes.
“The negative things people and even the media is saying about Kennedy Agyapong gives Bawumia the advantage to carry the day,” Boakye he said.
