CEDECO Group holds end-of-year workshop for staff

The Human Resource Manager of CEDECO Group of Companies, Mercy Nana Yaa Boamah has called on staff of the company to as a matter of urgency up their game in the coming year so the company can reach optimum levels.

According to her, the Group which includes construction and civil engineering firms as well as printing press can be part of the top performing companies in the country if staff put up the best in the year 2024.

Speaking at an end of year workshop organised for staff of the group in Accra, Nana Yaa Boamah said their planned decision is to address some challenges facing the fast growing company despite recording some successes during the past years.

“Under thorough analysis and consideration, we are in the process of restructuring our activities to better align with our strategic goals. The key changes include the creation of new departments and realigning existing teams and the establishment of a more streamlined reporting structure which is the organogram,” she said.

She further said that in as much as the company is committed to staying relevant in the building and engineering sector, quality execution of it works is their topmost priority.

“As a company, we are committed to excellence in all that we do. We understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve, especially in the dynamic and rapidly changing built sector. That is why we firmly believe that investing in continuous professional development programs (CPDs) for our team is the key to our success.

“At CEDECO, we are blessed to have a team of talented professionals who excel at executing all aspects of infrastructural work,” the HR acknowledged.

She however pointed out that being the knowledge and expertise at the company’s disposal alone is not enough to strive and meet the set target. She therefore called on staff to stick to constant learning and growing to stay relevant and competitive in the industry.

She further said that CEDECO is capable of equipping their professionals with modern skills and knowledge they need to tackle complex projects and overcome challenges.

“We believe that investing in our team’s professional development is not only the right thing to do, but it is also the smart thing to do. By doing so,we can inspire our team to reach new heights of success and excellence, while also delivering exceptional value to our clients,” Nana Yaa Boamah added.

This, she said, will not only benefit the company but to also their clients as it will help deliver the best possible solutions that are backed by the latest technology and industry practice.

Madam Boamah assured staff that management have taken key note of their complaints and steps are underway to addressed them.

She however commended staff of the CEDECO for the yeoman job done over the years and encouraged them to do more going into the future to help coordinate the company’s vision as management have rolled out scheme to reward them accordingly.
