Mary, the youngest daughter of the late Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) presidential candidate Akua Donkor, has shared details about her mother’s final moments.
In an emotional interview at Ridge Hospital in Accra, Mary revealed that her mother passed away around 10:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2024.
“I was with her. We went to Nsawam, and later on, they transferred us to the Ridge Hospital. We were there, and around 10:00 PM, I was just beside her,” she recounted.
As the family awaits further guidance from their head, who will speak with the doctor for more information, Mary noted that they are in a state of grief.
Adwoa, a niece of the late candidate, added the family is waiting for relatives arriving from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to discuss the next steps.
She confirmed that Akua Donkor’s body is still at the hospital.
