The winner of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League will walk away with a cash prize of GH¢ 2 million, along with a trophy and 40 gold medals, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced.
This announcement was made by GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, during the 31st Ordinary Congress held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Following the new allocations, the first and second runners-up will also be rewarded GHS 1 million and 40 silver medals and GHS 800,000 and 40 bronze medals, respectively.
According to the GFA boss, in a bid to boost competitiveness and financial sustainability, the GFA has introduced a prize model that allocates rewards based on final league standings not just the top three.

As part of a broader initiative, each Premier League club will receive GHS1 million ahead of the 2024/25 season, with additional performance-based bonuses awarded at the end of the campaign.
The GFA says this revamped structure aims to enhance financial stability across clubs, curb player exodus and to also attract greater investment into the domestic game.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is scheduled to kick off on September 12, 2025.
