The Western Central Police Command has arrested two individuals for reportedly stabbing a 20-year old man to death in Asankrangwa on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
In a press release signed by the Head of Public Affairs Unit, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Beatrice Turkson, preliminary investigation indicates that a group of people, including the two suspects, chased the deceased and allegedly stabbed him multiple times.
The attack is reported to have resulted from an earlier misunderstanding between the deceased and one of the suspects, Kwasi Oppong.
The suspects, identified as Kwasi Oppong (36years) and William Francis Osei (23years), are currently in police custody and are providing assistance to the police as the investigation continues, and efforts according to the police, are underway to apprehend suspect who is on the run.
The deceased’s body has been taken to the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy procedures.
The Western Central Regional police command has assured the public that all persons involved in what they describe as “heinous crime” will be brought to justice.
They further urged anyone with relevant information about the crime to contact the Asankrangwa police.
