Ghanaian comedian and actor, Benson Boateng, known with the stage name ‘Funny Face,’ has officially returned home after a challenging period in his life, expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported him through his recovery journey.
In a touching post shared on Instagram, the actor thanked Ghanaians and individuals who stood by him during the period, revealing that he has now regained his peace of mind and stability.
“God bless Ghanaians, God bless Mama Vida, God bless everybody, people who supported that I gained back my sanity. I’ve come back to myself and everything,” he said.
He also reflected on how far he has come since beginning his recovery journey nearly a year ago.
“When I came here earlier, I was not able to control my triggers, but to God be the glory, next month, December, will be exactly one year since I came. All thanks to Mama Vida and Kwaku Manu,” he shared.
The actor added that he can now reconnect with his loved ones without emotional distress.
“Now I can sit down with my family, Vanessa, and have deep conversations without getting triggered,” he noted.
According to him, the experience has taught him valuable life lessons, and he has grown from his past mistakes.
“Things that hurt me a lot in the past don’t get me hurt anymore. Things I said wrong in the past, I have learnt from my mistakes,” says Funny Face.
