The Court of Appeal has unanimously upheld the appeal filed by former Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, in his legal case against Kweku Baako.
The appeal followed an earlier judgment by the Accra High Court in favour of Kweku Baako, which arose after portions of Mr. Agyapong’s witness statements were struck out during the Case Management Conference (CMC) stage.
He challenged that ruling, arguing that the process and outcome did not fully reflect the substance of his case.
In its decision Thursday Feburary 12, 2026, the Court of Appeal set aside the High Court’s judgment and ordered a retrial of the matter to ensure that all issues are properly determined.
The Court further directed that all monies paid pursuant to the High Court’s judgment be refunded to Mr. Agyapong within thirty (30) days.
In a statement on his official Facebook wall, Mr. Agyapong expressed confidence in the judicial process and reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing the matter through the appropriate legal channels.
“I remain confident in the judicial process and committed to pursuing this matter through the appropriate legal channels,” he wrote.
