The Ghana Police Service has dismantled a kidnapping and cyber fraud syndicate operating at Devtraco Estate, Tema Community 25, rescuing ten victims in the process.
According to a situational report from the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, the operation took place on February 2, 2026, following instructions from the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno.
A team comprising personnel from the Special Operations Unit (SOA) and the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, led by ASP Grace Owusua Gyan, the District Crime Officer, conducted the intelligence-led mission.
Two male suspects, identified as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, were arrested at the scene, who were allegedly involved in kidnapping and organized cyber fraud activities.
Police intelligence revealed that the victims had been illegally detained and exploited for cybercrime operations.
During the coordinated raid, the suspects were apprehended without resistance, and all ten victims were safely rescued.
Items retrieved from the premises included 19 laptops, 20 mobile phones, and two WiFi routers, which were believed to have been used in the cyber fraud activities.
