Member of Parliament (MP) for Akuapem South Constituency, Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu, has expressed hope that the sacred month of Ramadan, a period of fasting and prayer by the Muslim community, will further strengthen their resolve for renewed faith.
She believes the occasion will also instill peace among the Muslim community as they embark on the sacred month of Ramadan.
Her message was conveyed in a statement issued from the Office of the MP in Aburi following the official commencement of Ramadan on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
In her message, Madam Dziwornu extended heartfelt prayers and goodwill to the Muslim community, wishing them a successful fasting period and divine favour.
“To our cherished Muslim community in Akuapem South, Ghana and beyond, I wish you a blessed and peaceful Ramadan.
“May Allah accept our prayers and sacrifices, and may this sacred month bring divine favor, good health, and prosperity to every household,” she stated.
The MP further underscored that Ramadan is a spiritual journey offering believers the opportunity to rekindle their faith, strengthen communal bonds, and embrace abundant blessings.
She encouraged her constituents to uphold the values of peace, compassion, and unity throughout the holy month.
Muslims will embark on a month-long journey of fasting from dawn to dusk, engaging in prayers and acts of kindness in adherence to their faith.
