The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has held talks with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno, to strengthen collaboration on football security and integrity.

The meeting at the National Police Headquarters in Accra focused on promoting ethical standards in football, tackling match manipulation, and illegal betting.


The GFA and police agreed to work together to protect the Ghana Premier League and other domestic competitions through intelligence sharing, investigations, and preventive measures.

They also discussed plans to develop a modern sports facility for the Police Service.

GFA President Kurt Okraku Mantey and the IGP reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the sport’s credibility.
