Veteran broadcaster, Dr. Kwame Adinkrah, has praised Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie for what he describes as a humble and professional response to advice regarding his recent smoking habit.
Dr. Adinkrah’s comments come after he publicly expressed concern about videos showing the award-winning rapper smoking cigarettes.
“Nowadays, what bothers me is that Sarkodie is smoking cigarettes in every video I see. I do not know whether this is a new fashion; I don’t even understand,” he stated.
Following his remarks, Sarkodie responded respectfully, a move that has earned him commendation from the seasoned broadcaster.
According to Dr. Adinkrah, the rapper could have ignored the criticism but instead chose to respond with humility.
“You are always in my heart. The landlord, King Sark, could have ignored me; he could have decided not to respond to my worries and frustrations,” he said. “After all, I’ve not been the only one to critique his work. But with respect and humility, and perhaps upon sober reflection, Sark wrote: ‘To the biggest boss, Mr. Kwame Adinkrah, your advice taken; no excuses.’”
Dr. Adinkrah noted that Sarkodie’s reaction reflects professionalism, courage, and deep respect.
“This is a mark of courage, respect, and above all, professionalism. I’ve said it many times that Sarkodie is the greatest artist of all time,” he added.
He concluded by reiterating his admiration for the rapper, stating that the gesture has further strengthened his regard for him.
“Thank you, landlord, thank you, Sark; you have once again affirmed your supremacy in my heart,” he said.
