Eleven people have been injured following a road traffic collision at Eduadjei on the Cape Coast–Takoradi Highway.
In a statement by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Komenda Fire Station, it revealed that the accident which took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, involved an Opel Astra travelling from Cape Coast to komenda had collided with a Nissan Mini Bus heading in the opposite direction.

The report indicated that, ten passengers aboard the mini bus were rescued by passersby, while, the driver of the Opel Astra, who was trapped in the vehicle, was successfully extricated by the GNFS rescue team.

The victims, compromising nine men and two women sustained varying degrees of injuries, and are currently receiving medical treatment at the Elmina Poly Clinic.

The firefighters also cleared debris from the road to restore traffic flow, while investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
