Award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer, Diana Hamilton, has reminded fans that music is not the only path she walks, after sharing a lighthearted video about returning to her nursing duties.
In a TikTok clip that quickly caught the attention of her followers, the Adom hitmaker revealed that her roots in nursing are still very much alive.
Madam Hamilton, who trained as a professional nurse before rising to fame in gospel music, appeared cheerful as she spoke about stepping back into the hospital environment.
She captioned the video: “In other news, the nurses are back to work.”
Speaking with a smile and a short laugh, the gospel musician told viewers that returning to nursing still feels natural despite her busy music career.
“It feels good to be home. I am back to be a nurse,” she said while laughing.
The singer also admitted that she does not practice regularly, but explained that whenever she returns to the hospital setting, the knowledge and experience quickly come back.
“Those of you who think I do not practice, well, sometimes we do, but not all the time,” she said.
According to her, the first few moments back at work sometimes make her feel like she may have forgotten some of the things she learned in nursing school. However, that feeling disappears once she begins attending to patients.
“Sometimes when I come in, I think I have forgotten everything about nursing. Then I sit behind the computer, you see the first patient, and it all comes back to you,” she added.
The video sparked warm reactions from fans in the comment section. One follower, @Mor.dekai, asked how she manages security while working as both a nurse and a celebrity.
Another fan, @Florence Batsa, also shared her admiration, writing: “My mummy, my mummy. I, too, love you dearly. God bless you.”
