Ghanaian musician, Mzbel, has revealed that the court has scheduled May 21, 2026, for the continuation of her legal case against Prophet Fire Oja.
Speaking to the media after the court session, the singer explained that the judge requested some amendments to the case before the proceedings continued.
“The court demands that we will need some amendments to the case involving Fire Oja, so the case has been adjourned to May 21, 2026. So we will come back,” she said.
Mzbel also expressed frustration about how long court cases can take.
“This is why I don’t like court cases. I would have just cursed and you will die, because every time the court just tells you to come today, then tomorrow,” she added.
The dispute between the two began after Prophet Fire Oja alleged that the singer suffered serious health complications in 2025 following a visit to a traditionalist known as Ola Maame for what he described as a “soul travel” ritual.
According to the pastor, the incident led to the musician being hospitalised for treatment. He also accused the “16 Years” hitmaker of working with the traditionalist to deceive women who visit Ola Maame’s shrine in Kasoa.
Mzbel, however, strongly denied the allegations and challenged anyone making such claims to provide evidence that she had any negative spiritual experience with the traditionalist.
Through her lawyers, the musician later issued a legal notice demanding that Prophet Fire Oja retract his statements, apologise, and pay compensation. The letter reportedly gave him a 10-day ultimatum to comply.
However, the pastor did not respond to the demands, a development that eventually led Mzbel to file the case in court.
The matter is expected to resume on May 21, 2026, when both parties return to court for further proceedings.
