The children of the late legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, are urging the public and media to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn their father.
In a statement dated March 13, 2026, the family acknowledged the deep love and admiration many people have shown for their late father, whose real name was Charles Kwadwo Fosu.
However, they emphasized that matters concerning his burial arrangements remain strictly a private family issue.
According to the statement, the family is currently focused on grieving and honouring the late musician in line with his personal wishes.
“We respectfully ask the public, media, and all well-wishers to allow our family the privacy and space required to grieve and honour our father in accordance with his wishes,” the statement said.
The message was signed by Calvin on behalf of the children of the late highlife icon.
