The management of Ghanaian artiste, AratheJay, has formally petitioned the board of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, requesting clarification over the exclusion of his debut album The Odyssey from key categories in the 27th edition nominations.
In a letter addressed to Charterhouse Ghana, the team cited inconsistencies between the album’s documented performance and the award scheme’s published criteria. They specifically questioned its omission from “Album/EP of the Year,” as well as the exclusion of “Put Am on God” and “Cover Me” from their respective categories.
Despite the concerns, AratheJay secured three nominations, including Best Music Video for “Put Am on God,” Best Reggae/Dancehall Song for “Talisman” featuring Stonebwoy, and a Best Hiplife Song credit as a featured act.
The team emphasized that their request is not an appeal but a call for transparency, urging the board to explain how nomination decisions were reached.
