Communications team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Benjamin Coleman, has praised the economic management of President John Dramani Mahama in easing the burden of Ghanaians.
According to him, the government’s management of the economy, particularly fuel pricing has brought relief to many drivers.
Against this backdrop, the District Manager of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira, believes, has contributed to drivers no longer complaining about rising fuel prices.
“The government has managed the fuel prices well. Have you heard the drivers complain, when was the last time you heard drivers complain that fuel has increased?
“Because they have seen how the government is managing the fuel prices,” he said.
He explained that traders dealing in car spare parts are no longer raising concerns about the exchange rate, noting that the currency has become relatively stable.
He further stated that it would not be wrong for the president to review fuel taxes and levies if global oil price increases.
“It is not bad for the president as a father to say that my people’s taxes imposed on fuel to help the economy, I have seen that the Iran war is affecting the prices so I’m coming to review it,” he said.
He added that the NDC remains committed to serving Ghanaians and will continue to communicate openly about both progress and challenges facing the country.
