The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) criteria for the next Black Stars coach will be someone who is an achiever at the national level, Kurt Okraku has stated.
He noted that a technical brain with a proven record of winning is what the country considers.
According to the GFA boss, beyond national team experience, club football coaching is also taken into account.
“He [next Black Stars coach] will be the person with the good record of having managed at the club level.
“And hopefully at the national team level, would be someone who has won trophies,” Mr. Okraku added.
He hinted that a coach who would rekindle confidence in the team is also paramount to the selection procedure.
“… and generally would be someone who will bring confidence to the changing room.”
He told 3Sports in a recent interview after the exit of Coach Otto Addo.
