The Bank of Ghana’s (BoG) Board has visited Tamale and its environs to witness firsthand how monetary policy impacts the lives of local people.
The visit also served as the venue for a board meeting.

During the trip, the delegation engaged with Bank staff, traditional chiefs, and opinion leaders, listening directly to their perspectives on monetary policies and identifying areas they believe need focused attention.

The community graciously welcomed the visitors into their cultural heritage.
2nd Deputy Governor of the BoG, Matilda Asante-Asiedu noted that the deepest impression from the visit was the warmth, generosity, and sharing spirit of the people, even among the youth.

She described every gesture and gift as intentional and meaningful, emphasizing that true wealth lies in the community’s heart rather than material possessions.
