The National Theatre has unveiled its ambitious 2026 ‑ 2030 strategic plan, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to transform into a world-class cultural institution.
The plan aims at modernizing operations, strengthening institutional capacity, and positioning the Theatre as a premier cultural hub both locally and globally.

The plan focuses on four key pillars: digital innovation to upgrade performances and outreach, talent development programs for artists and performers, expanded arts education initiatives to nurture young creatives, and broader access to cultural experiences for the public.

It also emphasizes forging partnerships, creating jobs, and driving growth in Ghana’s creative economy.

Backed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, the strategy seeks to enhance sustainability of cultural institutions, stimulate tourism, and showcase Ghana’s rich heritage on the international stage, thereby promoting the nation’s cultural identity and economic development.
