Senior High School (SHS) students have been advised to seek help and counselling on the career paths they seek to pursue from the right mentors before leaving their various secondary schools for tertiary institutions.
This, according to some old students of the Wesley Grammar Old Students Association (WESGOSSA) will help guide students to always embark on their right career paths.
The advise was offered when some astute and well-respected members of WESGOSSA held a mentorship session for freshers and final year students of the school over the weekend.
The mentorship session, the first of its kind in the school, was aimed at fratenising with the students of Wesley Grammar School and also educating them of how to choose the right paths to realising their dreams.
Director of Research at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), Prof. Peter Quartey, who is an old student of the Methodist institution said the old students felt compelled to come back to their roots and offer the best of counselling to the young generation as part of efforts to make the place an institution of choice to students.
To him, having a mentor in life was the right way to go as it will help the young generation live a better life and make society a better place.
