Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah is optimistic six-time Balon Dor winner, Lionel Messi, will struggle before he makes it into the current squad.
The giant and safest pair of hands for the phobians said this Monday, in an interview with Saddick Adams on Angel 102.9 Fm’s Floodlight Sports.
Answering a question on which GPL player he will love to see at Hearts of Oak, the former Elmina Sharks and Okyeman Planners goalie made the bold proclamation, that the squad is complete and full with 30 quality players.
According to him, “even Lionel Messi will struggle to fit into the current Hearts of Oak squad”.
For his part, Hearts of Oak Coach, Nii Odoom, also said “I want to tell all Phobians that winning the GPL next season is our target and, we are working hard towards breaking the decade-old jinx of no silverware at the club.”
The rainbow boys have not won a competitive trophy in a decade and are hoping to end the club’s trophy drought when the season starts in November.
